KANSAS LAMPSHADE LINERS, REPLACED, RESTORED,

This entire set of lamp shades have had the liners replaced.  Beautiful Shades!  One set of shades were Ethan Allan blush colored shades.  The pleated shade is a Westwood lampshade.  The set of gold covered shades did not have identification, but they are very nice deco lampshades.   All the covers of these shades were […]

Contemporary Vintage 1950’s Oval Lampshade Restored

This oval lampshade belongs to a vintage 1950’s contemporary lamp base.   The oval lampshade was in need of repairs.  The original shade was in great condition, but the fabric was starting to get brittle and split.     I removed all the fabric from the lampshade frame and there were only 4 vertical wires.  There […]

A-FRAME PLEATED LAMPSHADE LINER REPLACED, REPAIRED, Cleveland, Ohio

The liner of this A-frame pleated lampshade was brittle and starting to split.  The heat from standard light bulbs will quickly damage the liners of these contemporary  tunnel lampshades.  The heat concentrates in the top of the shade and causes damage.  I strongly advise people to use eco-friendly bulbs in these shades. I was able […]

ETHAN ALLEN LAMPSHADE LINER REPAIR

Contemporary Ethan Allen Lampshade Liner Replacement.  The lampshade has a morrie fabric cover.  The liner was shredding and weak.  I removed the original trim and liner.  Replaced the liner and reattached the original trim.

Lampshade Repair, Lampshade Restored, Silk Sunshine Contemporary Shade

These are the pictures I received for a lampshade repair.  The liner looks brittle but not horrible.  Some jobs I take, I really am not sure if the lampshade is possible to repair.  I do know that the lampshade is not going to make if I don’t at least try.  My biggest concern was that […]

RECTANGLE CHANDELIER VINTAGE LAMPSHADES RECOVERED, RESTORED

These rectangle lampshades sit on a chandelier.  The shade fabric was splitting and the liners were damaged.  The lampshade wires were solid and there was no rust.                 I used a textured ivory fabric for the new cover.  On chandelier lamps the liners are clearly exposed.  I used […]

Lampshade, Shade Liner Repair, Restore, Alabama

These two shades are currently being restored with lampshade liners.  One is a Kichler lampshade. Kicher lampshades have high quality wire frames and cover fabric.  The other lampshade is not marked.  The frame is a nice frame with an unusual sophisticated finish.   I like the time that was spent on detailing this lampshade.  The […]

VINTAGE STIFFEL LAMPSHADE REPAIR

The top of the wire frame of this vintage Stiffel lampshade came loose from the styrene (hard shell) shade.  The shallow drum shade has a reflector connected to the spider wire.               The top wire of vintage lampshades can be re-attached. With pleasure, I was able to repair this […]

BLACK OUT LAMPSHADES RECOVERED WITH BURGUNDY SILK DOUPPIONNI

“Black Out” lampshades are shades that do not allow any light to come through the fabric cover.  The lighting is directional.  The black out shades typically accent the lamp and allow minimal lighting.               These rose / mauve lampshades (2) were originally a deep burgundy but sunlight faded the fabric […]
